Young people need to exercise more - for health, confidence and character building. This is now a national priority. But here's something new - a fundraising event that encourages young people to take exercise, not only to help themselves and their schools and clubs, but to help children less fortunate than themselves.
Schoolchildren for Children is looking to achieve a sum total of over
three million miles of additional voluntary exercise by young people in 2010.
Be part of this exciting new challenge.
You can take part as a school, club, association, group of friends, family or even as an individual. There is a free campaign wristband for every individual who contributes. For more information please view this link.
Each school that participates will be sent free pedometers to help assess the number of miles that pupils can contribute to the Million Miles Challenge.
Additional pedometers can be purchased at the discounted price of £2.50 each. For more information please view this link.
Registration for 2010 is now taking place.
So far 506,330 miles have been completed.
